Refunds and cancellations
How deposits, cancellations, and refunds work for application audit engagements.
Scope
This policy applies to paid application audit engagements, packet checks, narrative reviews, and panel-prep briefings commissioned from Intel Service. The website itself does not sell products or process checkout payments.
Eligibility
Refunds are assessed against the written fee note for your engagement. Informational fee tables on the site are not invoices.
Timeframe to request
Cancellation or refund requests should be sent in writing to hello@intel-service.digital as soon as your plans change, and no later than 14 days after the invoice date for unused prepaid work, unless the fee note states a different window.
Full or partial refunds
- If you cancel before we begin reading your packet and before the reserved window starts, we refund prepaid amounts minus any non-refundable booking hold stated in the fee note (typically up to 10% of the engagement fee to cover intake time).
- If work has started (materials opened and review underway), we refund the unused portion after deducting time already spent, documented in hours or a percentage of scope completed.
- If the findings memo or briefing has been delivered, fees for that deliverable are not refundable.
Non-refundable items
- Completed findings memos and delivered briefing materials
- Third-party room or transcription costs incurred at your request and itemized in advance
- Deposits explicitly labeled non-refundable in the fee note after a late-cancellation deadline
Process
Email hello@intel-service.digital with your name, engagement reference, and reason for the request. We confirm receipt within two business days and state any documents needed.
Processing time and method
Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method when possible, or by bank transfer to an account you nominate in writing.
Cancellation and rescheduling
You may reschedule a reserved review window once without penalty if you give at least five business days’ notice and the new dates are mutually available. Shorter notice may forfeit part of the deposit. We may reschedule for illness or unavoidable conflict; prepaid fees then transfer to the new window.
Deposits
Full application audits typically require a 40% deposit. The deposit secures practitioner time. It is applied to the final invoice or handled under the refund rules above if the engagement is cancelled.
No-shows
If a scheduled panel-prep briefing or office walkthrough is missed without notice, the session fee may be charged in full. A replacement session can be booked at the standard session rate.
Work already started
Opening your packet, logging issues, or drafting memo sections counts as work started. Partial refunds reflect remaining unfinished scope only.
Exceptions
Statutory cooling-off rights under Korean consumer law, where applicable to individuals, take precedence over this policy. Organizations contracting as businesses follow the fee note and this policy as written.
